Bambusa textilis

A very dense / upright growing bamboo used extensively in weaving and handicraft. Straight and very strong timber. A spectacular ornamental bamboo with canes turning gold when exposed to direct sunlight. This bamboo is very cold tolerant. Other uses include screening, hedging or as a windbreak. Prefers a sunny or partly shaded position.
